For the Beef
* 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef or thinly sliced beef steak
* 2 tablespoons olive oil
* 1 teaspoon dried oregano
* 1 teaspoon paprika
* ½ teaspoon garlic powder
* ½ teaspoon onion powder
* ½ teaspoon ground cumin
* ½ teaspoon salt
* ¼ teaspoon black pepper
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Tzatziki Sauce
* 1 cup Greek yogurt
* ½ cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
* 1 garlic clove, minced
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
* 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
* Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly
* 4 large pita breads or flatbreads
* 1 cup shredded romaine lettuce
* 1 cup diced tomatoes
* ½ red onion, thinly sliced
* ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
* Optional: sliced cucumbers and Kalamata olives

Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine the beef with olive oil, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well.
2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef for 8–10 minutes, breaking it apart if using ground beef, until browned and fully cooked. Remove from heat.
3. To make the tzatziki sauce, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Stir until smooth and refrigerate until ready to use.
4. Warm the pita breads in a dry skillet or oven for 1–2 minutes until soft and pliable.
5. Spread a generous layer of tzatziki sauce down the center of each pita. Add lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and cooked beef.
6. Sprinkle with feta cheese and add cucumbers or olives if desired.
7. Fold in the sides and roll tightly into wraps.
