Creamy Cucumber Tea Sandwiches Recipe
- 10 slices soft white bread
- 1 large cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 can tuna or shredded cooked chicken
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese or mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or parsley
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Butter for spreading
Instructions
- Wash the cucumber and slice it into very thin rounds or strips. Pat dry with a paper towel so the sandwiches stay fresh and soft.
- In a bowl, mix the tuna or shredded chicken with cream cheese or mayonnaise. Add lemon juice, dill, salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Lightly spread butter on one side of each bread slice. This helps keep the bread soft and delicious.
- Spread a generous layer of the creamy filling over 5 bread slices. Arrange cucumber slices evenly on top.
- Cover with the remaining bread slices and gently press down. Trim the crusts if you want a classic tea sandwich style.
- Cut each sandwich into halves or triangles and serve chilled or fresh.
