Ingredients
For the Meatloaf
-
2 pounds ground beef
-
1 cup breadcrumbs
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 eggs
-
3/4 cup milk
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tablespoons ketchup
-
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon dried parsley
-
1/2 teaspoon paprika
For the Glaze
-
1/2 cup ketchup
-
2 tablespoons brown sugar
-
1 tablespoon mustard
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or baking dish.
-
In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let them sit for 2 minutes so the breadcrumbs soften.
-
Add the ground beef, chopped onion, eggs, garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, parsley, and paprika. Mix gently until everything is evenly combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.
-
Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan.
-
In a small bowl, stir together the ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard to make the glaze.
-
Spread half of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
-
Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and spread the remaining glaze on top.
-
Return the meatloaf to the oven and bake for another 15–20 minutes, or until fully cooked and juicy inside.
-
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This helps it stay moist and hold its shape.
