Soft Homemade Seed Bread Rolls 🍞✨
Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- ¼ cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup melted butter or oil
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds or chia seeds
Egg Wash
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add egg, melted butter, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour and knead until soft and smooth, about 8–10 minutes.
- Mix in the seeds.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Divide dough into equal balls and place on a baking tray.
- Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and serve warm with butter or jam.
Tips
- Add sesame seeds for extra flavor.
