Crispy Breaded Cauliflower Bites

Crispy Breaded Cauliflower Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-size florets
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Pat the cauliflower florets dry so the coating sticks properly.

Set up three bowls. Place the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper in the first bowl. Beat the eggs in the second. In the third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan.

Dip each cauliflower floret into the seasoned flour, shaking off excess. Then coat it in the beaten egg before pressing it firmly into the Parmesan-panko mixture. Make sure each piece is evenly covered.

Arrange the breaded cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between the pieces. Lightly spray the tops with olive oil.

Bake for 15 minutes, then carefully flip each piece. Continue baking for another 10–15 minutes, until the coating is deeply golden and crispy and the cauliflower is tender. High-heat baking and turning halfway help create an evenly crisp exterior.

Remove from the oven and let the bites cool for 2–3 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Serving Tips

Serve with ranch, garlic yogurt sauce, marinara, or your favorite spicy dipping sauce. For extra heat, add cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mixture.
