Cheesy Sloppy Joe Garlic Bread Boats
Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 cup sloppy joe sauce (or tomato sauce with seasoning)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Beef
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and onion.
- Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
- Drain excess grease.
Step 2: Make the Filling
- Stir in the sloppy joe sauce.
- Simmer for 5 minutes until thick and flavorful.
Step 3: Prepare the Bread
- Slice the loaf into thick pieces.
- Arrange the bread pieces in a greased baking dish.
- Lightly brush with melted butter.
Step 4: Assemble
- Spoon the beef mixture generously onto each bread piece.
