Cabbage Burger Steaks 🥬🍔

Ingredients

  • 1 small cabbage, cut into thick rounds
  • 1½ lbs ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place cabbage rounds on a greased baking tray.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Form large patties and place one on top of each cabbage round.
  5. Drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until burgers are cooked through and browned on top.
  7. Optional: add cheese during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite side dish.

Tips

  • Use turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter version.
  • Add shredded cheese inside the patties for extra flavor.
  • Great with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
