Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raw cashews (soaked for 10 minutes in warm water for maximum creaminess)

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves, packed

  • 1/2 ripe banana (sliced)

  • 1 cup milk of your choice (almond, oat, or dairy milk work wonderfully)

  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)

  • 3-4 ice cubes (optional, if using fresh fruit)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Base: If you have a standard blender, rinse your soaked cashews and place them at the bottom. This helps them blend completely smooth.

  2. Layer the Greens and Fruit: Add the fresh spinach leaves, sliced banana, and blueberries into the blender cup.

  3. Pour the Liquid: Pour in your choice of milk and the optional sweetener. Starting with one cup of liquid keeps the smoothie thick, but you can add a splash more later if needed.

  4. Blend Until Smooth: Secure the lid and blend on high speed for about 60 to 90 seconds. You want to make sure the cashews and spinach are completely broken down into a silky, purple texture.

  5. Serve: Pour the smoothie into a tall glass and enjoy immediately while cold!

Tip: Using a frozen banana or frozen blueberries will give you a thicker, frostier milkshake-like consistency without needing to add extra ice.
