🍍 Pineapple Ginger Smoothie Recipe
Prep time: 5 minutes | Servings: 1-2
Ingredients
-
1.5 cups Pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)
-
1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, peeled and grated (add more if you love a spicy kick)
-
1/2 cup Fresh spinach or kale (optional, for that green color seen in the photo)
-
1/2 cup Coconut water, almond milk, or regular water
-
1/2 Banana (frozen works best to make it creamy)
-
1 tablespoon Fresh lime juice (adds a great zest)
-
4-5 Ice cubes (omit if using all frozen fruit)
Instructions
-
Prep the ingredients: If you are using fresh ginger, peel a small piece with a spoon and grate it finely so you don’t get large woody chunks in your drink.
-
Layer the blender: Add the liquid (coconut water or milk) to the blender first. This helps the blades spin smoothly. Next, add the greens, ginger, banana, and pineapple.
-
Blend: Secure the lid and blend on high speed for 60 to 90 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and no green specks remain.
-
Adjust consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more liquid. If it is too thin, add a few more frozen pineapple chunks or ice cubes and blend again.
-
Serve: Pour into a tall glass, garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge if desired, and enjoy immediately!
💡 Quick Tips
-
Naturally Sweet: Pineapple and banana provide plenty of natural sweetness. If your pineapple is a bit tart, you can add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
-
Boost It Up: Feel free to add a tablespoon of chia seeds or hemp seeds for extra texture and nutrients.
