Ginger Water Recipe
Ingredients:
Fresh ginger (about 2-3 inches)
4 cups water
1-2 tablespoons honey (optional)
1 lemon (optional, for added flavor)
Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ginger:
Peel and slice the ginger into thin pieces or small chunks.
Boil the Water:
In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
Add Ginger:
Once the water is boiling, add the sliced ginger and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes. The longer it simmers, the stronger the flavor.
Optional Additions:
If you like, add honey to sweeten the ginger water. You can also add lemon slices for extra flavor or fresh mint leaves for a refreshing touch.
Strain and Serve:
After simmering, strain the ginger water into a glass or pitcher to remove the ginger pieces.
Serve hot or chill it for a cold, refreshing drink.
