Juicy Oven Baked Meatballs
This is *Juicy Oven Baked Meatballs* – super soft, never dry! Perfect for dinner.
*FULL RECIPE:*
*Ingredients:*
– Beef Mince (Keema) – 500g (half beef + half mutton/chicken is even juicier .
– Eggs – 2 whole
– Bread Crumbs – 1/2 cup (60g) or 2 slices of bread soaked in milk
– Onion – 1 medium, very finely chopped or grated
– Garlic – 3 cloves minced / 1 tsp paste
– Milk – 1/4 cup (60ml)
– Salt – 1 tsp
– Black Pepper – 1/2 tsp
– Paprika / Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
– Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
– Fresh Parsley / Coriander – 2 tbsp chopped
– Olive Oil – 2 tbsp for tray
*Method:*
*STEP 1 – Make Mix:*
In a big glass bowl add mince, eggs , breadcrumbs, grated onion, garlic, milk, all spices, and parsley.
*IMPORTANT:* Mix gently with hands for just 1 minute. Do NOT over-mix or meatballs will become hard. Mix should be soft and sticky.
*STEP 2 – Shape:*
Oil your hands. Take 2 tbsp of mix and roll into a smooth ball, size of a golf ball. Place in an oiled baking tray . Make 15-16 balls. Leave little space between them.
*STEP 3 – Bake / Fry – 2 Options:*
*Option A – Oven (Healthier & Juicier):*
Preheat oven to 200C / 400F. Drizzle oil on balls. Bake for 18-20 mins until golden brown and cooked inside.
*Option B – Pan Fry:*
Heat oil in a pan, fry balls on medium heat for 6-7 mins turning until brown on all sides.
*STEP 4 – Serve:*
These meatballs are ready to eat as is! Or you can add them to:
1. Tomato Sauce + Pasta
2. White Creamy Sauce
3. Serve with pita bread and yogurt
*Pro Tips for Soft Meatballs:*
1. Adding bread + milk is the secret – makes them super soft, not rubbery.
2. Don’t skip eggs, they bind everything.
3. If you like, add 1/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese inside each ball – cheesy burst!
