Crispy Flatbread with Brie, Apples, Walnuts & Maple Glaze

Ingredients

Flatbread Base
1 large flatbread or naan bread
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Toppings
1 crisp apple, thinly sliced
6 ounces brie cheese, sliced
1/3 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Maple Glaze
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Optional Garnish
Fresh arugula
Extra walnuts
Fresh thyme
Additional maple drizzle
Cracked black pepper

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the flatbread on the prepared baking sheet and brush evenly with olive oil.
Arrange the brie slices evenly over the flatbread.
Top with the thinly sliced apples and chopped walnuts.
Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves and black pepper.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the brie is melted and bubbly and the flatbread edges are golden and crisp.
Meanwhile, whisk together maple syrup, melted butter, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
Remove the flatbread from the oven and drizzle generously with the maple glaze.
Garnish with fresh arugula, extra walnuts, thyme, and cracked black pepper if desired.
Slice and serve warm as an appetizer, brunch dish, or light meal.
