Soft Cheese Flatbreads 🫓🧀
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
For the Filling
- 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup cream cheese
For Brushing
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
➡️ In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
➡️ Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
➡️ Add flour, salt, and oil.
➡️ Mix until a soft dough forms.
➡️ Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
2. Let the Dough Rise
➡️ Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl.
➡️ Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
3. Prepare the Filling
➡️ Mix the mozzarella and cream cheese in a bowl.
➡️ Set aside.
4. Shape the Flatbreads
➡️ Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.
➡️ Roll each portion into a circle.
➡️ Place some cheese filling in the center.
➡️ Seal the edges and gently flatten into a round disc.
5. Cook
➡️ Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
➡️ Cook each flatbread for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown with toasted spots.
➡️ Press lightly while cooking for even browning.
6. Finish
➡️ Brush the hot flatbreads with melted butter.
➡️ Stack and keep covered to stay soft.
