Ingredients
-
Chicken: 2 large chicken breasts (halved lengthwise into cutlets).
-
Seasoning: 1 tsp paprika, salt, and black pepper to taste.
-
Sauce Base: 3 tbsp unsalted butter, 4 cloves garlic (minced).
-
Cream: 1 cup heavy cream.
-
Cheese: 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella or Parmesan.
-
Garnish: 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley or chives.
Instructions
-
Prep the Chicken: Season your chicken cutlets on both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika. This provides a beautiful golden color and a base layer of flavor.
-
Sear: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil. Sear the chicken for about 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside on a plate.
-
Sauté Garlic: Reduce the heat to medium. In the same pan, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant (be careful not to let it burn).
-
Simmer the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream. Let it simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until it starts to thicken slightly.
-
Combine & Melt: Stir in the shredded cheese until the sauce is smooth and glossy. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning that luxurious sauce over each piece.
-
Finish: Top with a generous sprinkle of fresh parsley and chives. Let it sit for a minute so the cheese settles into the herbs, as seen in your photo.
Serving Suggestion: This pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes, steamed asparagus, or over a bed of fettuccine to soak up every drop of that garlic butter sauce. Enjoy!
