Mixed Berry Parfait Smoothie
Ingredients
-
Frozen Base: 1 cup frozen mixed berries (blackberries, raspberries, blueberries)
-
Fruit Accents: 1 ripe banana (half for blending, half sliced for topping)
-
Liquid: 1/2 cup almond milk or oat milk
-
The Cream: 1/2 cup thick Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
-
Sweetener: 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
-
Toppings: Fresh raspberries, blackberries, banana coins, and a sprig of mint.
Instructions
-
Prepare the Berry Blend: In a high-speed blender, combine the frozen mixed berries, half of the banana, and your choice of milk. Blend until the texture is thick and frosty. If it’s too thick to move, add a splash more milk, but keep it dense enough to support the layers.
-
Create the Swirl: Take your tall glass and drizzle a spoonful of berry jam or pureed berries around the inner rim. Pour in the blended berry mixture until the glass is about three-quarters full.
-
Layer the Yogurt: Gently spoon the Greek yogurt over the top of the berry base. Use the back of a spoon to lightly swirl the yogurt into the top of the smoothie to create that beautiful marbled “melting” effect seen in the photo.
-
Artistic Garnish: Top the yogurt layer with the remaining banana slices, a handful of blackberries, and raspberries. For a professional touch, add a sprig of fresh mint and a reusable straw.
