Ingredients
-
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (hulled)
-
1/2 cup rolled oats (old-fashioned)
-
1 cup milk of your choice (dairy, almond, or oat milk work great)
-
1/2 cup Greek yogurt (for extra creaminess and protein)
-
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
-
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
A handful of ice cubes (if using fresh berries)
Instructions
-
Prep the Oats: For an ultra-smooth texture, place the dry oats in the blender first and pulse until they turn into a fine flour. This prevents the smoothie from feeling “gritty.”
-
Combine: Add the strawberries, milk, yogurt, sweetener, and vanilla extract into the blender. If you want that beautiful layered look seen in the photo, set aside one sliced strawberry to press against the inside of the glass before pouring.
-
Blend: Secure the lid and blend on high speed for about 45–60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and pale pink.
-
Adjust Consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more milk. If you prefer it thicker (like a smoothie bowl), add a few more ice cubes or a frozen banana.
-
Serve: Pour the smoothie into a tall glass.
-
Garnish: Top with a small handful of rolled oats and a drizzle of honey to match the aesthetic in the picture. Serve immediately with a straw.
