Mediterranean Ground Beef Wrap with Whipped Hot Honey Feta Sauce
Ingredients
For the Ground Beef:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp chili flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
For the Whipped Hot Honey Feta Sauce:
- ½ cup feta cheese, crumbled
- ¼ cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1–2 tsp hot sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp lemon juice
For the Wraps:
4–6 tortillas or flatbread
For the Fresh Fillings:
- 1 cup lettuce or mixed greens
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- ½ cucumber, sliced
- ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Directions
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Stir in smoked paprika, cumin, chili flakes, salt, pepper, tomato paste, and lemon juice. Cook for 2–3 minutes more.
In a bowl or food processor, blend feta, Greek yogurt, honey, hot sauce, garlic, and lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
Warm tortillas or flatbreads until soft.
Assemble wraps by layering greens, ground beef mixture, fresh vegetables, and a generous drizzle of whipped hot honey feta sauce.
Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
