Peach & Banana Bliss Smoothie
Prep time: 5 minutes | Servings: 1-2
Ingredients
-
1 large banana (frozen is best for a thicker texture)
-
2 fresh peaches, pitted and sliced (you can also use frozen slices)
-
1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
-
1/2 cup milk of choice (almond, oat, or dairy)
-
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for extra flavor)
-
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, if your fruit isn’t quite sweet enough)
Instructions
-
Prepare the Fruit: Slice your peaches and peel your banana. If you want a colder, milkshake-like consistency, freeze the fruit pieces for at least 2 hours beforehand.
-
Layer the Blender: Add the liquid (milk) first, followed by the yogurt, and then the fruit. This helps the blender blades move more freely.
-
Blend: Pulse until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
-
Adjust Consistency: If it’s too thick, add a splash more milk. If it’s too thin, add a few ice cubes or more frozen fruit and blend again.
-
Serve: Pour into a tall glass and garnish with a fresh peach slice, just like in your photo!
Tips for the Perfect Smoothie
-
Ripeness Matters: Use bananas with a few brown spots; they have higher sugar content and blend more smoothly.
-
Boost the Nutrition: You can easily add a tablespoon of chia seeds or flax seeds without changing the flavor profile much.
