Ingredients for Chicken Marsala:
- 4 small chicken breasts (or 2 large, cut in two)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 ½ cup cremini mushrooms, sliced
- ½ small shallot, minced
- 3 tbsp Marsala cooking wine
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions to Chicken Marsala:
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder
- Heat a large pan on medium heat with olive oil. Add chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Don’t move them while cooking.
- Remove chicken, put on a plate, and set aside.
- In the same pan add mushrooms, shallot and butter. Cook for 1 minute, then add wine and chicken broth. Cook for 5-6 minutes, until the liquid has reduced in half.
- Add in the heavy cream and simmer for 2 more minutes.
- Place the chicken back into the pan and cover with sauce. Serve with chopped parsley on top and enjoy.
