Salmon and asparagus in garlic sauce.
Ingredients:
- Salmon fillets (around 1.5 pounds)
- Asparagus (around 1 pound)
- Butter (around ½ cup)
- Garlic cloves (minced, 3 cloves)
- Parsley (minced, 1 tablespoon)
- Onion powder (1 teaspoon)
- Salt (1 teaspoon)
- Cracked pepper (½ teaspoon)
- Lemon slices (4)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray.
- Place the salmon fillets in the center of the baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Arrange the asparagus around the salmon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, garlic, parsley, and onion powder.
- Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the salmon and asparagus.
- Season everything with salt and pepper.
- Place a lemon slice on each salmon fillet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
Tips:
- You can use fresh or frozen asparagus for this recipe. If using frozen asparagus, thaw it completely and pat it dry before using.
- For a richer sauce, you can use more butter or add a splash of white wine.
- If you don’t have fresh parsley, you can use 1 teaspoon of dried parsley.
- Serve this dish with rice, quinoa, or roasted vegetables.
