Garlic Cheese Toast with Egg

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Using a round cookie cutter or a glass, cut a hole in the center of each bread slice.
  3. Spread a thin layer of softened butter on both sides of each bread slice.
  4. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5 minutes or until lightly golden.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Sprinkle the cheese mixture evenly over each toasted bread slice, including the hole in the center.
  7. Crack an egg into each hole.
