Strawberry-Carrot-Ginger Smoothie
Prep time: 5 minutes | Servings: 1-2
The Ingredients
| Ingredient | Amount |
| Carrots | 2 medium (peeled and chopped) |
| Strawberries | 1 cup (fresh or frozen) |
| Fresh Ginger | 1/2 inch knob (peeled) |
| Orange Juice | 1 cup (or water/coconut water) |
| Lemon Juice | 1 tsp (optional, for brightness) |
| Ice | 1/2 cup (if using fresh fruit) |
Instructions
-
Prep the Carrots: If you don’t have a high-speed blender, finely grate the carrots first to ensure the smoothie is silky rather than “chewy.”
-
Layer Up: Place the liquid (orange juice) into the blender first, followed by the ginger, carrots, and finally the strawberries on top.
-
Blend: Start on a low speed and gradually increase to high. Blend for 45–60 seconds until completely smooth.
-
Taste Test: If it’s too thick, add a splash more juice. If you want it sweeter, a small drizzle of honey or maple syrup works perfectly.
-
Serve: Pour into a glass and garnish with a sliced strawberry, just like in your photo!
A Pro Tip for Texture
Carrots are fibrous, so if you find the texture too “pulpy,” you can blend the carrots with the juice first and strain them through a fine mesh sieve before adding the “carrot juice” back into the blender with the strawberries and ginger.
