Sausage Balls

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground pork sausage
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Ranch or barbecue sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, baking mix, milk, oregano, parsley, garlic powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Use your hands or a spoon to mix everything until well combined.
  3. Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls, placing them on the prepared baking sheet. Leave a little space between each ball.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
