Rolo pretzel Turtles

Ingredients:

  • Pretzel squares or pretzel twists
  • Rolo candies (unwrapped)
  • Pecan halves or whole almonds

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. Line Baking Sheet:
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  3. Assemble the Pretzel Bases:
    • Arrange pretzel squares or pretzel twists on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Top with Rolos:
    • Place a Rolo candy on top of each pretzel. If using pretzel squares, you can press the Rolos into the center. If using pretzel twists, you can place the Rolos on top.
  5. Warm in the Oven:
    • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven for about 3-4 minutes, or until the Rolos start to soften. Keep an eye on them – you want them soft but not fully melted.
  6. Add Pecans:
    • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and gently press a pecan half or whole almond into the center of each Rolo, squishing it down into the pretzel.
  7. Cool and Set:
    • Allow the Rolo Pretzel Turtles to cool completely. You can speed up the process by placing them in the fridge for a quicker set.
