Recipe for Chicken Alfredo
Here’s a simple recipe for Chicken Alfredo:
Ingredients:
- 1 lb fettuccine pasta
- 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta: Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Chicken: In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side depending on thickness. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine and Serve: Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly. Slice the cooked chicken breasts and arrange them on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
- Serve: Serve immediately while hot. Enjoy your creamy Chicken Alfredo!
Feel free to adjust the seasonings or add more Parmesan cheese according to your taste. Enjoy your meal!
