Prep the Breading: In three separate shallow bowls, set up your dredging station. Bowl 1: Flour mixed with oregano, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bowl 2: Beaten eggs. Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs.

Coat the Fish: Pat the cod strips dry with paper towels. Dredge each strip in the flour, dip into the egg, and finally coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs, pressing gently so they stick.

Cook to Golden Perfection:

Pan-Fry: Heat about ½ inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the strips for 3–4 minutes per side until deeply golden and cooked through.

Air Fry: Preheat to 200°C (400°F). Spray strips with oil and cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway.

Make the Sauce: Whisk all tartar sauce ingredients in a small bowl. The flecks of dill and capers will mirror the texture seen in your photo.

Serve: Garnish the hot fish with fresh herbs and serve immediately with the dipping sauce.
