Recipe: Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp with Asparagus

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound of asparagus, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley and lemon slices for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add asparagus, salt, and pepper. Cook until tender, about 4-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt the remaining butter. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about a minute.
  3. Increase heat to high and add shrimp. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until shrimp turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Reduce heat to medium, add lemon juice and soy sauce. Stir well.
  5. Return the asparagus to the pan and toss to combine.
  6. Garnish with parsley and lemon slices. Serve immediately
