Honey Bun Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, eggs, sour cream, and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
  4. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon mixture.
  5. Swirl a knife through the batter to create a marbled effect.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and honey until smooth.
  8. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and immediately drizzle the glaze over the warm cake.
  9. Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
