Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread (any type you prefer)
- 2-3 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, Swiss, or your favorite melting cheese)
- 2 tablespoons of butter, softened
Instructions:
- Prepare the Bread:
- Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Assemble the Sandwich:
- Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a skillet or on a griddle.
- Arrange the cheese slices on top of the bread.
- Place the second slice of bread on top of the cheese, buttered side up.
- Cook the Sandwich:
- Heat the skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Cook the sandwich until the bread is golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula and cook the other side until it is also golden brown and the cheese is melted, another 3-4 minutes.
- Serve:
- Remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool for a minute.
- Cut the sandwich in half, if desired, and serve warm.
