For the Wrap Assembly
4–6 pita breads
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes
½ red onion, thinly sliced
½ cucumber, diced
Fresh parsley (optional)
Directions
Step 1: Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, oregano, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Add the chicken and coat thoroughly.
Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor).
Step 2: Cook the Chicken
Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook chicken for 5–7 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
Slice into thin strips.
Step 3: Prepare the Spicy Garlic Feta Sauce
In a bowl, combine feta cheese and Greek yogurt.
Add hot sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, grated garlic, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Mix until smooth and creamy.
Add warm water gradually to reach a drizzle-friendly consistency.
Step 4: Warm the Pita
Heat pita breads in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side or warm in the oven until soft and pliable.
Step 5: Assemble the Wraps
Spread a generous layer of spicy garlic feta sauce over each pita.
Add sliced lemon chicken down the center.
Top with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, cucumber, and fresh parsley.
Drizzle with extra sauce if desired.
Fold and wrap tightly.
Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges or a simple Greek salad on the side.
