Ginger Cinnamon Lemon Tea

This warm herbal tea combines ginger, cinnamon, and lemon for a naturally aromatic and refreshing drink.
Ingredients

1½ cups water

1 inch fresh ginger root, thinly sliced
(or ½ teaspoon ground ginger) -
1 cinnamon stick
(or ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon) -
Juice of ½ fresh lemon

1 teaspoon honey (optional, for sweetness)

Instructions

Boil the water
Pour the water into a small saucepan and bring it to a rolling boil over medium heat. -
Add spices
Add the sliced ginger and cinnamon stick to the boiling water. -
Simmer
Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer gently for 10 to 15 minutes.
This allows the flavors to infuse into the water. -
Strain
Remove from heat and strain the tea into a mug to remove the ginger and cinnamon. -
Add lemon and sweetener
Stir in the fresh lemon juice.
Add honey if desired and mix well. -
Serve
Drink warm.
