German Pasta Drove

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz egg noodles or your favorite pasta
  • 1 lb German sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the sliced German sausage over medium heat. Once browned, remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking until the mushrooms are golden brown.
  4. Return the cooked sausage to the skillet, then pour in the heavy cream and add Dijon mustard. Stir to combine and simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, ensuring it is well coated with the creamy sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve your German Pasta Drove hot.
