Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Prepare the chicken wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps the wings crisp up in the oven. Place the wings in a large mixing bowl.
- Season the wings: Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken wings and toss them to coat evenly. Season the wings with minced garlic, dried parsley, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Toss again to ensure the wings are evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Arrange on the baking sheet: Arrange the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not touching each other. This allows the heat to circulate evenly around each wing, promoting even cooking and crispy skin.
- Bake the wings: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the wings for 40-45 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
- Make the Parmesan topping: While the wings are baking, prepare the Parmesan topping. In a small bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese with a pinch of dried parsley.
- Finish the wings: Once the wings are cooked through and crispy, remove them from the oven. While they’re still hot, sprinkle the Parmesan topping over the wings, ensuring each wing is generously coated with the cheesy mixture.
- Serve: Transfer the garlic Parmesan chicken wings to a serving platter and garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them as they are.
Notes:
- You can customize the seasoning according to your taste preferences. Feel free to add more garlic for an extra kick or adjust the amount of dried herbs to suit your liking.
- These garlic Parmesan chicken wings are delicious on their own, but you can also serve them with ranch dressing, blue cheese dip, or marinara sauce for dipping.
- Make sure to check the chicken wings for doneness before serving. They should have an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) when measured with a meat thermometer.
- Leftover wings can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the oven or air fryer to maintain their crispy texture before serving.
