French Fries Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into thin strips
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional: ketchup, mayonnaise, or your favorite dipping sauce

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the potato strips under cold water to remove excess starch. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large, heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Carefully add the potato strips in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the fryer. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  4. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fries and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  5. Sprinkle the hot fries with salt immediately after removing them from the oil.
  6. Serve the French fries hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
