Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to your taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the Chicken:
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the hot skillet and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until they are browned and no longer pink in the center.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
- Prepare the Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté it for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant.
- Make the Cream Sauce:
- Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, and stir in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon of dried basil, and 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano.
- Continue to cook the sauce, stirring constantly, until it thickens. This should take about 3-5 minutes. The sauce will thicken as the cheese melts and combines with the cream.
- Return the Chicken to the Skillet:
- Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet with the creamy sauce.
- Simmer the chicken in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing it to absorb the flavors and become heated through.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish the creamy garlic Parmesan chicken with fresh parsley for a pop of color and added flavor.
- Serve:
- Plate the chicken alongside your choice of pasta, rice, or vegetables.
- Spoon some of the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce over the chicken and your side dish.
