Recipe: Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup mashed bananas (about 2-3 medium bananas)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar. Add eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely
