Infuse the Base: In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Blend the Banana: Take your mashed bananas and whisk them into the liquid base. For a smoother texture, you can use a blender to ensure the banana is completely incorporated.

Thicken: Add the instant vanilla pudding mix to the liquid. Use a hand mixer on low speed for 2 minutes. This creates that iconic “custard-like” consistency seen in the image.

Churn: Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, usually churning for 20–25 minutes until it reaches a “soft serve” consistency.
