Ingredients

Fritters

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups apples, peeled & diced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp recommended)

Vanilla Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Step 1 – Prep

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.

Step 2 – Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together:
  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Baking powder
  • Salt
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg

Step 3 – Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk:
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Melted butter
  • Vanilla

Step 4 – Combine

Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined. Fold in diced apples.

Step 5 – Bake

Drop heaping spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet.
Bake 15–18 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.

Step 6 – Glaze

Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
Drizzle glaze over warm fritters.
