Avocado Mango Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 Ripe Mango: Peeled, pitted, and cubed (frozen mango works best for a thicker texture).

  • 1/2 Ripe Avocado: Pitted and scooped out for maximum creaminess.

  • 1 cup Coconut Water or Almond Milk: Depending on your preference for a light or nutty base.

  • 1/2 Lime: Juiced, to brighten the flavors.

  • 1 teaspoon Honey or Maple Syrup: Optional, for a touch of extra sweetness.

  • Fresh Mint Leaves: For garnish and a cooling aroma.

  • Ice Cubes: A handful, if using fresh fruit instead of frozen.

Instructions

  1. Prep the Fruit: Start by cubing your mango. If you have time, freeze the mango chunks for 2 hours beforehand to achieve a “soft-serve” consistency. Scoop the avocado flesh out; ensure it is ripe (it should give slightly when pressed) for the smoothest results.

  2. Combine: Place the mango, avocado, lime juice, and your liquid base into a high-speed blender.

  3. Blend: Start on a low setting and gradually increase to high. Blend for about 45–60 seconds until the mixture is completely velvety. If the smoothie is too thick, add an extra splash of coconut water.

  4. Taste Test: Sip a small amount. If you prefer it sweeter, add your natural sweetener now and pulse for 5 more seconds.

  5. Serve: Pour into a chilled mason jar. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a few small mango cubes on top.

Pro Tip: Avocado is a “flavor sponge.” Adding a tiny pinch of sea salt can actually make the mango flavor pop even more!
