Banana Peach Smoothie
Ingredients
-
2 Fresh Bananas: Best if they are ripe (with a few brown spots) for natural sweetness.
-
2 Cups Frozen Peaches: Using frozen peaches gives the smoothie a thick, chilled texture without needing ice.
-
1 Cup Yogurt: You can use plain or vanilla. Greek yogurt works great if you want extra protein and a thicker consistency.
-
Optional Liquid (as needed): 1/4 to 1/2 cup of milk, water, or orange juice if the mixture is too thick to blend.
Instructions
-
Prep the Fruit: Peel the bananas and break them into smaller chunks to help your blender process them more easily.
-
Layer the Ingredients: Add the yogurt to the blender first. Adding the liquid/soft ingredients at the bottom helps the blades move more efficiently. Follow with the banana chunks and finally the frozen peaches.
-
Blend: Secure the lid and blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
-
Adjust Consistency: If the smoothie is too thick, add a small splash of your preferred liquid and blend for another 5–10 seconds.
-
Serve: Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy immediately while cold!
Tips for Success
-
Sweetness: If your peaches aren’t very sweet, you can add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup.
-
Texture: If you prefer an even colder “soft-serve” texture, try slicing and freezing your bananas ahead of time as well.
