Broccoli Burgers Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Fresh broccoli (or frozen, defrosted, and drained)
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • 1 egg
  • Cheese
  • Flour
  • Seasonings
  • Oil

Instructions:

  1. Using a food processor, pulse the fresh broccoli, onion, and garlic until finely chopped, ensuring not to over-process. If employing frozen broccoli, ensure it is defrosted and all excess water is removed. If using both fresh and frozen broccoli, first process the onion and fresh broccoli with the garlic, then add the frozen broccoli and pulse a few times.
  2. In a large bowl, blend the broccoli mixture with the egg, cheese, flour, and seasonings.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties, approximately 4 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick. This recipe should yield around six burgers.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add the patties.
  5. Cook the patties for about eight minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown.
  6. Transfer the burgers to a large plate lined with paper towels. Serve warm.
