Recipe: Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp with Asparagus
Ingredients:
- 1.5 pounds of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound of asparagus, trimmed
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 5 cloves of garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley and lemon slices for garnish
Instructions:
- In a large pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add asparagus, salt, and pepper. Cook until tender, about 4-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt the remaining butter. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about a minute.
- Increase heat to high and add shrimp. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until shrimp turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Reduce heat to medium, add lemon juice and soy sauce. Stir well.
- Return the asparagus to the pan and toss to combine.
- Garnish with parsley and lemon slices. Serve immediately
