Creamy Raspberry Oatmeal Smoothie
Serves: 2 | Prep time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
1/2 cup Rolled oats (old-fashioned)
2 Frozen bananas (sliced)
1 1/2 cups Milk of choice (dairy, almond, or oat milk)
1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
1 tbsp Almond butter or peanut butter (optional, for richness)
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
A pinch of Cinnamon
Garnish: Fresh raspberries and a sprinkle of dry oats
Instructions
Pulse the Oats: For the smoothest texture, place the dry rolled oats into the blender first. Pulse them until they reach a fine, flour-like consistency.
Add Liquid & Base: Pour in your milk, yogurt, frozen banana slices, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Blend: Blend on high speed for about 45โ60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. If itโs too thick, add a splash more milk.
Assemble: Pour the smoothie into two glasses.
Garnish: Top each glass with a few fresh raspberries and a small sprinkle of oats as seen in the photo.
Pro Tips for the Best Texture
Wait a minute: Let the smoothie sit for about 2 minutes after blending. This allows the oats to hydrate slightly, making the drink even creamier.
Sweetness: Since bananas vary in ripeness, taste it after blending. If you want it sweeter, add a teaspoon of honey or a single pitted date.
Temperature: Using frozen bananas is keyโit creates a chilled, milkshake-like consistency without needing ice, which can water down the flavor.
