INGREDIENTS: The Batter:

1/2 cup Sourdough Discard (or active starter)

1/2 cup Granulated Sugar

2 Eggs

1/4 cup Melted Butter

1/4 cup Milk

2 tsp Baking Powder + 1 tsp Baking Soda

1 tsp Cinnamon + 1/2 tsp Salt
The Apple Filling:

2 large Apples (peeled & diced)

1/4 cup Sugar + 1 tsp Cinnamon

1/4 tsp Nutmeg (optional)
The Glaze:

1 cup Powdered Sugar + 2-3 tbsp Milk
INSTRUCTIONS: 1️⃣ Apples: Toss diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Let it sit for 10 mins. 2️⃣ Dry Mix: Whisk flours, baking powder, soda, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. 3️⃣ Wet Mix: In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, discard, melted butter, and milk. 4️⃣ Combine: Gently fold wet ingredients into dry. Do not overmix! Fold in the apples and their juices last. 5️⃣ Bake: Pour into a greased 9×5 loaf pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 mins until a toothpick comes out clean. 6️⃣ Glaze: Let cool, then whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over the top.
